Chavs vandalise Thomas the Tank Engine.

I went to the Banksey exhibition in Bristol recently
Had to get up at five am to get there!
AND queue for FIVE hours!
But it was worth it.
This was my absolute favourite piece in there^

And here's a few more pictures I took...I love that giant ice cream dripping down the van.
Would you stand in the rain for five hours to see a Banksey exhibition?

Grumpy Cat

This is Isadora the witch
She has a grumpy cat.
And these are some sketches I did in Letchworth the other day
Not a big fan of Letchworth
There's nothing to do there
and it reminds me being at school
and having to take subjects like MATHS :s
Anyway on a more positive note
It was nice and sunny
And it's nice and sunny today too! :)
Which is good because I am going to a garden party.

Just Like Raindrops

This was for my friend Spickolina
On her Birthday
She's not really that unhappy
like the candyfloss girl in the picture
With her batwing umrella
But she still doesn't like the rain.

Oxford

I like going to Oxford
I like the colour of the buildings
like apricot
and all the posh-bike-riding-boys

Melusina

These are a few pages from a book I wrote for a project last term. (click for full view) I realised I haven't done anything like this for a while now. It's because I've been sketching instead.
Anyway this has given me an idea for a comic strip I am doing.
(never done a comic strip before!)
Also reminds me to get on with designing my friends tattoo.

Felt Tip.

I went to my friends graduation party the other day
Saw some people who I havn't spoken to since school
It was good to catch up
This is Harriet^
She looks a bit like a greek goddess.
Kind of a juxtapostition against the bright orange sofa
which I coloured in with a felt tip.
I havn't used a felt tip for years!

This one is my little cousin Ossian^
He was watching tv
and kept fidgeting
which is why his hands came out massive.

I find it hard to get into sketching
But once I've started I can't stop!

Ive done a lot of swimming lately
I like feeling like a fish

and watching the bubbles spin back up to the surface.

France!

Bonjour!
I got back from France last night.I had a very enjoyable time
and it was sunny :)
and we drank violet and banana drinks (not mixed together)
I tried eel. It was chewy.
And saw a lot of boats and ropes and nets and crabs. This is picture of my mother lying on the beach in her lovely flowery swimming costume...
She has no feet. I ran out of paper.Have you ever seen these by the way? I used to eat them all the time in France when I was little.
Cheesy blocks of chemical goodness.
I LOVE them.
And the little pictures they have on the foil wrapper.
I was sad enough to cut the pictures out and stick them to paper with UHU so I could look at them properly.A line of French people^

I also looked at oodles of French picture books.
Kind of ended up buying a couple...
or five.

This one I found in some second hand kind of shop. 'Larguons les Amarres' by Emmanual Cerisier. I like the the black line drawings. And I like pictures of boats and water.Kind of reminds me of Tin Tin for some reason.

L'OURS QUE PERSONNE N'ECOUTAIT
(The Bear nobody listened to)
'I have a little problem,' said the bear. 'I think...'
I absolutely LOVE the illustrations by Silke Leffler in this book. (I think it's german originally) The faces on the people and bear are so friendly looking which I think is important in a picture book. I also think the collaging works really well. I especially like the scene in the Doctors surgery:^sticking plaster :)

CHARLOTTE ET L'ILE DU DESTIN
(Charlotte and the Island of Destiny)
The drawings of the poeple in this book reminds me of the Who's in 'The Grinch.'
I think the way Olivier Lasser has painted the water is beautiful.
I need to learn how to paint water...

ERNEST ET CELESTINE AU CIRQUE
(Ernest and Celestine at the Circus)
I HAD to get this because my Dad used to read us an Ernest and Celestine book when we were little in a stupid squeaky voice that used to annoy my sister. I love Gabrielle Vincents illustrations in these books because they are so expressive.Et Finalement...

L'AMEROUX
by Rebecca Dautremer
I think the characters in this book are amazing. I still don't quite understand the story though, I need to translate it properly. Its such a rich colourful book, I was so excited when I saw it on the shelf because it was one that I particularly wanted to find.
I need to stop buying books now.
It's just getting greedy.

A line of people I drew on the ferry^
SO many people were being sick on the ferry.
It was a bit of rough crossing. I have sealegs though so I don't ever get sick on boats. I like it when the sea is bouncy and rough.

Some people at a table. ^ I think they saw me drawing them.

The arcade machine things on the ferry^

A french shop^

another french shop^

A french door and some cheeeese^

French beach huts! ^

And a french bar^
au revoir!

Waiting

I drew this at Heathrow Airport the other day as I was waiting for my Dad to come through the arrivals bit. I never realised how much people FIDGET as they're waiting around! One lady was practically hopping on one leg the whole time. (click to enlarge)
