Chocolate coins for breakfast

I really like the days after Christmas.  I like that most people are off work, there are good films on tv and that it is ok to eat chocolate coins for breakfast.  I'm kind of sad that these days have come to an end now.

We took our tree down yesterday.  I wanted to keep it up for longer but Henry said it was bad luck.

^some of my new toys.  Pink flamingo, lindt bear, moomin clock, the christmas tree headband I wore on Christmas Eve when we went to Brunos house and did secret santa and went carol singing, new perfume, new hoop earrings from Henry's mum, glow sticks from Erin,  a mini chair from my sister...

Christmas this year was really nice.  I saw all my family (apart from my sister who is an air hostess and had to fly- we missed her) Christmas day was spent running round the house trying to do a treasure hunt that Henry had set me to find my presents. It was an incredibly hard treasure hunt and literally took me hours! Anyhow the prize was worth it.  It was the black and white shiny bag I had been wanting for ages and inside the bag was a silver box with a tiny grey seal in it that Henry had made himself!  (seals are one of my favourite animals by the way)

I just love it.

Hope Santa brought you everything you wanted this year!  What was your favourite present?

Dripping Glitter

This is my favourite illustration I did of this character (looks a lot better if you click on it).  She has black line around her this time,  I was experimenting with black line/no black line as usual.

I would so dearly love to be able to make my hair do that but I don't have enough of it yet.  I think I would need to be at least waist length to make that work.   I have always wanted hair down to my feet actually.  I'm growing it at the moment.  Heres hoping!

Now she's angry.  ^  She can be quite fierce when she's cross. In fact she can get quite... murderous.  I wouldn't want to cross her in this mood!

This by the way is what I am coveting at the moment.  This sparkling, rainbow dripping with gems necklace.  I detour by the shop it's in every day so that I can look at it in the window.  It makes my mouth water.
It's designed by Butler and Wilson who make the best jewellery ever!  I have a tiara by them and its my favourite thing to wear!  Are you a fan of this?  My housemate would say "it looks like Barbie's been sick on it," because that is what she said about my tiara. But I think the glitterier the better!

Naked

'It's not true I had nothing on, I had the radio on.' - Marylin Monroe

I'm not sure about the lack of black line in this. Always a dilemma!

Sorry it's been such a hideously long time.

Tea with the Queen

I went to Sandringham the other week to visit the Queen! Or the Queens estate in Norfolk anyway. I was hoping she would be there to have tea with us but she wasn't. Maybe next time! The rooms and furniture inside the Palace were SO beautiful, all gold and white and jade and rose quartz. I want to live there! There were clocks everywhere, and a gold sword encrusted with rubies.

I've been drawing in a lot of very very nice posh places recently to gather research for my book. I want to get as much detail as possible! Here are some of my sketches:You know what I've been watching lately, In preparation for Christmas? The Grinch! It's one of my absolute favourite films! I love the way that the Whos live inside a snowflake. But my all time best best bit is where Martha May Whovier stands outside her house and starts firing a gun at it. She's wearing this really cool sexy santa outfit and lines of fairylights shoot out of the gun and all over her house! Apparantly they sell fairylight guns in Cyberdog now but I don't think they're quite the same! What's your favourite Christmas film? Mine's a tie between The Hogfather, The Snowman and The Grinch!
